Message concerned about when installing an oil cooler kit of ANY type on ANY vehicle. Proper Oil temps are just as critical as proper engine coolant temps.

For my personal Z (when we were originally assembling this oil cooler kit), I used a piece of card board to block the oil cooler during the cold winter months. This definitly helped a good deal. I realise that card board is a bit ghetto, but I was looking for a quick solution. Many owners of our 370Z version of the oil cooler kit fabricate block off plates from plastic or thin sheet metal and attach it to the core with Velcro.

Old school road race guys will use high temp tape (or duct work tape)to cover individual rows on their oil coolers to dial in oil temps. They will adjust the number of rows covered depending on the current weather conditions and track temps.

The original idea for our Full Flow Z32 Oil Cooler system was not only to create a track ready oil cooler system, but to also offer a suitable replacement for the OEM TT Oil Cooler parts. These parts are becoming harder to find in good condition and are sought after daily my customers converting from NA to TT.

Also, the NISMO Euro Spec oil cooler has become extremely difficult to acquire in the US now.
